Mont-sur-Rolle - Gastronomie & vin
The winegrowers of Mont-sur-Rolle invite you to a festival of flavours in an exceptional setting, with breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the mountains. A route of about 5 km will allow you to meet the wine craftsmen and discover the Mont-sur-Rolle vineyard in a friendly atmosphere.
At each stage, a winegrower will welcome the walkers and will be pleased to present the fruit of his work, through a tasting of different grape varieties accompanied by succulent local products. An original opportunity to combine walking with taste discoveries, with family or friends.
Winegrowing occupies an essential place in Mont-sur-Rolle, since the vineyard extends over 250 hectares. There are nearly thirty winegrowers-pickers who cultivate as many different grape varieties. Several of these vine plants have been selected and can be observed on a 6 km course offering a magnificent panoramic view. On a clear day, you can see the Geneva water jet and the Mont Blanc, which rises from the alpine chain. Ranging from 400 to 600 metres above sea level and surmounted by wooded escarpments, the hillside is located in the waters of Lake Geneva.
It is accessible to all. It takes about 1 hour and a half to walk the 5 to 7 km on the vineyard paths. It runs along some of the hamlets of the commune. It crosses the historic village and its buildings from different periods.
